Craniosacral TherapyBaby feet

Craniosacral therapy is based on the findings of Dr Sutherland an American Osteopath. He believed that every cell in the body expressed motion and if this motion is restricted it has an effect in some way on the body and its relationship with Health. These restrictions may be caused from birth patterns, illnesses, accidents, operations and traumas both physical and psychological by restricting movement in the bones, tissues or both within the body.

How does Craniosacral Therapy work?

This is a gentle touch therapy performed normally with the client lying on a couch but sitting can also be adopted. It is performed with the client fully clothed.
By making contact with the client the practitioner will become aware of the restrictions held within the body and by gentle touch, work with the body to begin to release these.
Contact is normally made at the feet, pelvis and head although the practitioner may be drawn to work with other areas
It has been found that the most effective way of freeing these restrictions is through a non-invasive touch, without the use of massage, manipulation or other such techniques.
